Event Industry Award – Bloomsbury Big Top

October 27th, 2011

The Bloomsbury Big Top was announced Winner at The Event Awards recently as Event Space of the Year – Medium capacity. Winning ahead of other finalists including The Royal Albert Hall and the Saatchi Gallery, this was a fantastic accolade for the team who were involved in producing the 2010 season.   Director Denis McCourt collected the award  from comedian Jason Byrne, who hosted the ceremony. The evening was a great celebration of the successes of the event industry and the Bloomsbury Big Top was recognised for launching and prospering during the recession, hosting 27 events in its first season on site.

Ryans Cleaning Event Specialist is pleased to announce that they will be providing a specialist team to support the ever popular venue. Ryans will be providing a turnaround service to the two main function areas, The Big Top and the Fountain Room.

A dedicated team will work through the night to manage the table churn,  linen, venue   cleaning and janitorial services, presenting the venue back to the  management and catering team in preparation for another awesome event.

Recycling Rocks

October 18th, 2011

Ryans has taken another initiative on the recycling front, launching our Recycling Rocks brand which will feature at all 2012  events. Clients and local authorities have become more demanding when it comes to improving recycling percentages. At a recent festival we used our customer facing recycling team to help achieve a 100% performance by managing recycling stations around the arena and keeping food waste segregated away from dry mixed recyclables. Once we collected all of the aluminium cans into a separate waste stream we were able to send the food waste to a waste to energy plant.

Well done guys, another very happy client and brownie points with the local authority who managed the park. Recycling really does Rock.

Keeping the Wheels Rolling on Ryans Slick Operation

October 17th, 2011

It’s a little thing but one that Ryans event support services team prides themselves on, and that’s keeping the wheels on and things  all rolling! At most events we have over 300 1100ltr Euro bins in constant use.  Emptied 3 times per day, the bins really get tested, especially with the rough terrain that they can be dragged through.

Keeping The Wheels Rolling

This bin was used in the entry isles to handle confiscated items, looks as if it had had one too many and keeled over under the strain! Getting it to our service yard was essential to allow our maintenance team to repair the damaged wheels and get it back in action, whilst we have back up bins the attendance was creeping up fast and so every bin counts.

V-Festival 2010

October 19th, 2010

With around 85,000 party goers there was a significant amount of rubbish to pick up! But with the recycling initiative organised by Ryans Cleaning Event Specialists in conjunction with Every Can Counts we reduced the overall carbon footprint of the Festival.

BBC radio interviewed our recycling team and the punters who got involved in the football competition to win VIP camping tickets for next years V-Festival. So it was good fun had by all and the recycling message was clearly sent out and well recieved.
